Where to dive in Egypt: Marsa Alam

Diving in Marsa Alam

Diving in Marsa Alam is the answer to the question: where to dive in Egypt? Marsa Alam is one of the most undiscovered, unspoiled, destinations to dive in Egypt. You can visit the coral reefs during the underwater excursions. They are some of the best preserved in the whole country. Diving in Marsa Alam, Egypt is a really stunning experience.

Diving conditions

Throughout the year, water reaches a satisfactory temperature: from an average of 23°C in February to almost 31°C in August. Only air may be in a little cooler in January – about 18°C.

Marsa Alam is located in the South-East part of Egypt and it is one of the most popular destinations in this country. The hotel base continues to be developed all the time, to meet the growing demand for tourist services. In addition to the dive-holiday and recreational and entertainment facilities, you will have a chance to spend the night on the shores of the sea – in stone cottages. This kind of attraction requires travelling for 20 km north of the resort, but it’s worth it.

Diving in Marsa Alam is largely based on descending under water directly from the Bank. Both beginners and professionals will find places for themselves. Diving centers also provide vehicles transporting to selected coastal spots. This is the optimum solution especially for people who avoid boats.
