Diving in island of Krk

The Island of Krk and its surroundings is one of the most interesting places for diving in Croatia. Near the island, you will find a few dozen spots available for divers. Diving in island of Krk includes dozen of caves, a number of wrecks, especially in the Gulf of Kvarnerski Zaljev in the area of Rijeka and spectacular coral reefs of the Adriatic Sea. Shipwreck lovers may also be interested in the shipwreck of the Italian ship Lina, that has been resting at the bottom of the Adriatic Sea near Krk since 1914. The wreck is at a depth of 27 to 52 meters. Thanks to crystal clear waters, it is very photogenic.

Interesting diving spots are available also in the caves. The cave of Vrbnik is worth noting. It’s also hard not to mention the beautiful reefs where we can enjoy all sorts of creatures living in the Adriatic Sea.

I’ve been diving for almost 10 years. The underwater world won my heart quite quickly. From the very beginning I wanted to be a good diver and partner, so I kept practising until I got a Master Scuba Diver PADI degree. I dive in hot and cold waters around the world. The thing I like most about diving is the sense of weightlessness and possibility to dive in the depths. I’m not too demanding when it comes to the landscapes, although I do enjoy their diversity, so I like diving in different places and conditions.
